VeraCore Runs for a Glowing Cause!

On August 24th, VeraCore team members participated in the Blacklight Run, a 5K event for charity, as part of VeraCore’s Wellness Program.

The Blacklight Run is the largest nighttime 5K (or 3.1 miles) race in the country with multiple race locations spread throughout the USA. The organization dedicates each run to raise Childhood Cancer Awareness – a cause we could not wait to support!

Decked out in pink dye, glow sticks and other vibrant accessories, we joined 5,500 participants and blazed through the night. Our path was illuminated only by UV light and “glow stations,” sections of the path where volunteers showered the runners with UV glow powder.

Like they say, after the party race is the after party! Once we crossed the finish line, we joined the rest of the runners at the Blacklight After Party for music, dancing and event swag. We think we took some of our best company photos yet, but HR may not agree with us!

The Blacklight Run was a great opportunity to spend time with friends and family while staying active and supporting our local community.

Be on the lookout for more VeraCore happenings as we continue to give back and stay fit as a team!
